A word about this company

The Heidelberg theatre was founded in 1853 through a citizen’s initiative. Despite its renowned history it is still young at heart in all its five branches (opera, drama, dance, children’s and youth theatre, symphony concerts). Its repertoire is oriented towards contemporary pieces and contents. Young actors, singers, musicians, directors and stage designers experience the theatre as a springboard for their career. The theatre is developing new audiences with education programs in all branches and has initiated several major youth projects.
