Munich conference

Few cities match Munich in the provision of opera. Or of beer, for that matter. The convivial atmosphere of the Bavarian capital cannot disguise the ferocious productivity of its opera houses, nor their success in attracting a loyal and inquisitive audience. Munich can boast a glorious past, but it also looks forward to a bright future.
Opera Europa’s conference programme explored some aspects of that future. It revealed initiatives and opportunities to enliven our heritage and share it more widely.
