Fundraising & Friends forum
Launched in 2006 with the ambition to share good fundraising practices between experienced and less experienced companies, the Fundraising Academy grew to encompass Fundraising/Sponsoring Managers, Directors of Development, Heads of Friends, etc in 2012. It regularly meets both at Opera Europa conferences and during separate, intensive meetings on specialised issues.
Together with Deloitte Madrid, the forum has conducted a survey assessing the different fundraising models across European opera houses, and is currently in the process of surveying motivations of corporate sponsors, as well of major corporate bodies that choose not to support opera.

The next meeting takes place during Opera Europa's Autumn conference in Strasbourg from 24-25 October 2019.
