The Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, Ireland’s only summer opera festival, celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2019 with Donizetti’s Don Pasquale as its centrepiece, at Lismore Castle, with an exciting schedule of additional musical events throughout the week (May 28th – June 3rd). Visitors to Lismore and the scenic Blackwater Valley can discover emerging new talent performing alongside international stars of the classical music world. Opera is performed in the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings of Lismore Castle and Gardens with day-time recitals & evening concerts taking place in great private houses, secret places and the churches & cathedrals of the Blackwater Valley.
